Zoobilee After Sixth Straight Win

The 4-year-old mare Zoobilee tries for her sixth-straight win and fifth-consecutive stakes win when she challenges male Louisiana-bred rivals in the $70,000 Vals Fortune Stakes (RG2) over 400 yards on Saturday night at Delta Downs.

Owned by Michael and Shelly Zinglemann with C. Crenwelge, Zoobilee (Dashin Bye-Our Precious Secret by Streakin La Jolla) won an allowance race last November at Delta Downs and has prevailed in every start since that victory. Three of those wins have been by daylight margins, including beating the boys in the Louisiana Champions Day Derby (RG2) and a win over open company in the AQHA Members Plus Stakes.

Trainer Michael Zinglemann brings Zoobilee back after a hard-fought win in the Mother’s Day Stakes (RG3) at Delta Downs on May 8. She went to the front in that 350-yard test and was able to hold off La Mos Chingono to keep her winning streak alive.

Blue Louisiana Jolla (Jess Louisiana Blue-Somekinda Rainey by Somekindadash) shortens to 400 yards after narrowly winning the Delta 550 Stakes (R). The Elroy Potts Sr.-trained gelding made a late rush to win by a head on May 14. Racing at 440 yards on December 11, he was second in the Louisiana Day Champions Stakes (RG2).

Gametime (Game Patriot-Agents Of Fortune by Runaway Winner) and Toast To Streakin (Toast To Dash-Streakin Nana by Streakin La Jolla) each come into the Vals Fortune off optional-claiming wins. Gametime has won two of his latest three starts while Toast To Streakin returned from a layoff for his optional-claiming win after placing in three stakes last year.
